Encore at Double Take,
not to mention the expansive Ranch and Hacienda departments, boasts an ongoing and fascinating collection of vintage and antiques. Our favorite part about housing these collections is developing ongoing relationships with our consignors and customers.
For instance, Priscilla Hart, a loyal consignor and customer for over a decade, recently brought us two pristine and very large antique white feather fans from the early 20th century. They were passed down to her husband from his aunt and the family hails from New York.
Our vintage collections also currently include: mid-century train cases, a Louis Vuitton garment bag suitcase, vintage hats (featuring a rare Emilio Pucci straw hat); our vintage Mexican clothing and jewelry as well as our vintage rayon western scarves and tooled leather purses collections are extensive in our Ranch store. We love our vintage western toys, mid-century kids boots, and books!
Over the years we are excited and proud to have developed a formidable array of bakelite, mostly bangles. We proudly curate some fine carved and rare book pieces both in our brick and mortar store and in our Etsy and our online shop.
As well as featuring fine examples of early-mid 20th Century clothing and vintage western wear at the Ranch, we also have the following collections: postcards and greeting cards, metal, mesh, or beaded evening bags, compacts and accessories, gloves, handkerchiefs, scarves, and a variety men’s accessories including ties, cuff links, money clips, rings, pocket knives, and belt buckles.
Costume Jewelry is extensive at Double take – including the famous mid century designers: Robert, Dior, Barrera, Lanvin, Haskell, Eisenberg, Weiss, Hobe, Joan Rivers, Kenneth J Lane, Coro, St. John to name only some.
As for modern costume jewelry designers we proudly house Stephen Dweck, Tiffany and more! We also carry a wide array of collectible jewelry and accessories made of lucite and celluloid. As if that’s not enough we have an amazing collection of Victorian jewelry and clothing! Collect cameos? Pay us a visit!
Then there’s our vintage handbag collection: simply, WOW! Many vintage leather, skin, basket, and textile bags are available… and currently we feature scarves and small leather accessories designed in 1977 by Bottega Veneta!
One fun way to access and converse about our collections in store and online is to get to know Lou! Lou runs our Etsy store and helps take care of our vintage in-store collections as well.
