Scooooore! Shopping isn’t my thing and when I do it’s usually very quick and no debating. Now throw in Second Hand, Consignment Shopping – forget about it, this Homie Don’t Play that Game. However, I decided to humor the wife and go along. We walk up to this well organized warehouse of used and closeout clothing, jewelry, house goods and furnishing. I just can’t get enough of Double Take! I am visiting Santa Fe from Australia, and I found the most wonderful treasures here from jewellery, art, western, collectibles, vintage to clothes…it was amazing. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and very patient, taking their time to explain to me the history behind many of the items I was looking at. I bought a vintage suitcase to carry home all of my new purchases from Double Take! I will be back!

Double Take is an enormous place, with sections with moderate priced goods, section with western clothes, boots and accessories, as well as designer, high end goods, not to mention home goods and artwork. You can spend the day there.

Double take has been one of the cornerstones of my youth in Santa fe. I’ve gotten my clothes there and dropped them off when I’ve grown too large. There are some very unique items at double take and with the expansion there are now plenty of collectable things.

What a place! Allow a couple of hours to scour the racks here if it’s your first visit – they have tons of interesting pieces, all for very good prices if you’re used to thrift shops in bigger cities like New York or London. The jewellery is something to check out too – lots of 80s pieces and most of them around $1-5.
