The summer has come and gone, and here we are with so much to be thankful for. To be voted Best Consignment in the Santa Fe Reporter for more than 20 years in a row! To be voted Best Men’s and Best Western in a town full of ‘Southwestern everything’ is a great honor! And to top it off, we also were voted Best Consignment by the Albuquerque Journal!
Celebrating 33 years in business is all about how grateful we are to our community and consignors. YOU ARE THE BEST, and we thank you for your involvement and your inspiration in creating who we are today!
THE COMMUNITY IS OUR PURPOSE
Native American traditions teach us that when we understand the welfare of the people, the decisions we make now affect the seven generations to come. We must be good caretakers of the earth, not simply for ourselves, but for those who will inherit the earth. We know it takes a village and Double Take honors this truth, wholeheartedly.
In all these years if you ask us about one thing we’ve learned, it’s the value in the connection we have to our Santa Fe stomping grounds. This simple awareness, through purpose and a shared vision for this community, has helped us stand the test of time. It’s all about the Seventh Generation philosophy, and how these values have played an integral role in The Double Take Experience. Not in the romanticism of the concept as it is often times used, but by actively tending to our Double Take family, and by our principle belief in taking care of our planet – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse. Our carbon footprint speaks for itself!
We’ve experienced generations of families, year after year, shopping at Double Take for their children’s clothing. It begins with pregnancy, to babies, and so on it goes. What a blessing it is! It tells us the service we provide is not only necessary, but important for how we attend to those we consider to be our own. You start to think about the people who come after, and how important a place like Double Take is to them, affordable items with something for everyone.
Since the pandemic, we’ve added a 75% off clothing room, we have our $1 to $5 racks, an area of $5 housewares, and our monthly sales will continue.
